Feeling Festive In Forever New
Want to add a festive touch to your wardrobe? Elys Style Expert, Helen, styles 5 outfits from party favourite, Forever New.
If you don’t already know the name Forever New, take note. It’s the Australian brand which gets partywear oh-so right, from sparkling floor-length gowns fit for a black-tie ball to mini and midi dresses (and separates) that will become trusted favourites in your wardrobe.
I’ve styled women from size 6-18* in Forever New as it ticks all the boxes for wearable style at accessible prices. Be inspired by 5 of my favourite looks styled from the current collection in-store.
- Red Alert
Party in full colour with this satin wrap mini dress whether dressing up for the big day itself, heading to a last minute gathering or going all out for New Year’s Eve. Layer a black roll neck and tights underneath for extra warmth then dance the night away…
Mikayla Satin Mini Dress
- Embellished LBD
The beauty of this dress lies in the simplicity of its neat little A-line mini shape, paired with puffed sleeves for drama and the crystal embellished neckline as the icing on the sartorial cake. Keep accessories simple but look for texture with your shoes and bag, a hint of sparkle, velvet or a patent finish will set the dress off perfectly.
Maisie Embellished Neck Mini Dress
- Knits & Sequins
Take one sequin skirt, pair with multiple jumpers and you’ve got yourself a festive fashion fix. A sequined skirt is for life though, not just for christmas, so don’t pack it away after January 1st, wear your sequined skirt with a t-shirt and leather jacket or blazer in spring and summer too.
This pearl-embellished jumper has been on my wishlist for a while now and it’s a great option for Christmas Day, whether you choose to style it with the sequin skirt or simply with leggings or jeans for a festive twist.
- Statement Mini
If there’s one thing you can rely on Forever New for, it’s a fabulous sequined mini dress - I wore a pink one for The Elys Edit AW22 fashion show. This purple option has a scooped back for a subtle flash of skin but don’t be put off by the short hemline, simply add tights and top with a warm coat. The best thing about this coat is the removable faux fur collar allowing you to change up your look depending on the occasion.
- Going Green
Dressing tonally - that is to say in varied shades of the same colour - will always look effortlessly chic so here I’ve styled a bright green knitted dress with a darker green coat. I finished the look with party heels but a green court shoe or long black (or cream) boot would also work well.
*Forever New’s size range is size 6-16 but some styles work for size 18.
